This year’s CrossFit Games offered fans and followers great entertainment and amazing performances from old and young, teams and individuals. For the first time Camille Leblanc-Bazinet was able to climb to the top and now holds the title “Fittest Woman on Earth”. Rich Froning stays the fittest man on Earth for the fourth time in a row. What a surprise! Not.
During one week of competing and fighting through grueling events designed by your beloved Dave Castro we saw elite athletes have their ups and downs, but never giving up. We’ve decided to share with you some of our favorite moments from the CrossFit Games 2014.
Kara Webb started her first day at the Games with a great performance and an event record in the overhead squat. For the first couple of days she managed to stay in the Top 3. Unfortunately, due to a small injury she wasn’t able to finish “Midline March” and decided to withdraw, but made everyone sure that she will be back sotrnger, better, faster next year.

The “Clean Speed Ladder” was one of those event where only the very best compete until the end. Only eight of the strongest and fastest women were lucky enough to move into the last heat and fight for a 225 lbs clean. European rookie Björk Odinsdottir did not give up and tried her best until the very last second. CrossFit’s own Wonder Woman Lauren Brooks put on a show for the audience with her clean at 225 lbs. That might be the best save in the history of CrossFit!

If you don’t love Chris Spealler, there’s something wrong with you. He’s been an important part of the sport of fitness and the CrossFit Games for many years now and we’re sad to hear that this year was his last. But still he performed at his best again and inspired many to continue training and loving what thay do.

Annie Thorisdottir also proved that CrossFit is all about having fun with the people you love. The face of beauty and strength provided some amazing moments worth capturing on camera. This one is one of our favorites:

The champion in the Masters Women 50-54 Division Mary Beth Litsheim was pure inspiration for everyone. She showed that no matter how old you are, you can still get better, strive for more and enjoy the journey to success.

In this year’s CrossFit Games we saw great performances not only from individual athletes, but from teams as well. Because what is CrossFit without your team, without someone you can count on or someone who can push you through when you’re having a hard time in a workout. This team showed great team spirit and excellent work.

Of course we haven’t forgotten Camille. Over the whole week she gleamed with joy and happiness and the cameras loved her for that. We challenge you to find a picture of her where she looks bad!

Here’s a little extra for you. Josh Bridges’ last rep on the “Thick & Quick” was just unbelievable!
